Recently, the folks at GFXBench posted benchmarks for a new Motorola device, with specs very similar to the popular budget Moto G smartphone. The specs include a quad core Snapdragon 400 SoC, 1GB of RAM, an 8MP camera, Android 4.4.4, and a 720p 5 inch display.
Personally, I think the jump in the size of the display is pointless, and that the CPU could have been clocked higher at 1.6ghz, like the Xiaomi Redmi 1S, which also uses the Snapdragon 400. Also, I think OEM's like Motorola should start using the Snapdragon S4 Pro on their budget devices, it's almost a year and a half old and provides way better performance.
What do you think of the leak of a possible successor to the Moto G? Freely tell me on Twitter (@yotams_blog), or comment here.
